Dr. Justin Dietrich joined Pure Wellness in Newark in 2021 after more than twenty years in chiropractic and rehabilitation. He holds a bachelor’s in exercise science from Ithaca College, a master’s in physiology from Life College, and a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University.
He has owned practices of his own. His work blends clinical rehab thinking with wellness care — useful when pain is only half the problem and function is the other half.

What causes it, how it is examined, and what treatment usually involves.
A first appointment runs 60 to 90 minutes and most of it is not treatment. The history comes first — what the complaint is, when it started, what makes it worse, what you have already tried, and what you need to be able to do again. Then the physical exam: posture, active and passive range of motion, orthopaedic testing, and a neurological screen. Imaging is ordered when the exam calls for it, not as a default.
You will hear the findings and the plan before anything is treated, including how many visits Justin expects it to take and what should change by when. If the exam points somewhere other than chiropractic — a medical condition, a referral to physical therapy, imaging, or a specialist — that is what you will be told. Technique is matched to the patient. Justin works with Functional recovery, and low-force instrument or drop-table options are available for anyone who does not want manual adjusting or should not have it — including older patients, patients with osteoporosis, and anyone who is simply nervous about it.
